Colle di Puriac - Valle Stura
On bubetta's idea we start on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 from Bersezio, with Oserot behind us, and continue on asphalt for 5 km to the junction for Frassere hamlet. Continue on a wide dirt road and in front of Rocca Reis, turn and the Enchastraye, a ski mountaineering destination targeted with Dovio's group in March 2019, appears.
We are the first bikers to ride this track in 2020 with tongues of snow to the foot of Bassa di Colombart to be reached on a steep ridge. In front of us stand out the Oronaye, Spectacular! A false flat in the scree would lead us in 15 minutes to the Puriac Pass, we stretch a little by passing under snowfields and taking the trail back to the saddle.
The Puriac Pass still gives us fabulous views: clockwise French mountains, Three Bishops, Enchastraye, Oronaye . Descent of loop route: first easy section to the Puriac stream in the valley of the same name, on the ski mountaineering route. Once on the grassy plateau that leads into the gully in winter, the trail descends into the meadows to face the most delicate and dangerous part of the trail (I leave the drool in the track where I backtrack). Caution, exposed and sagging section, not to be missed, the risk is a rock drop of several meters. Unfortunately, it is a must pass to follow the trail and get back in the saddle after 10 minutes of pushing. Arriving at the asphalt, we crossed Argentera to return to Bersezio.
Thanks to the three indomitable and enthusiastic members, the legendary Teddy, the agile bubetta and the granitic Ivanovic.
