Castiglione della Pescaia: Punt'Ala, Cala Violina e Diaccia Botrona

This is an easy route around the promontory of Punt'Ala, with fairly low difficulty, so much so that it can easily be ridden with a gravel bike. The route starts from Castiglione della Pescaia, basically from the hotel where we slept, and returns to the same spot. This route was inspired by a gravel trail found on Wikiloc, but was ridden with full eMTBs. There is a section, which can be avoided by continuing along the forest road just after Cala Violina, that follows the paths of the promontory and is suitable for MTBs; the rest can be ridden safely with a gravel. There is the possibility of introducing several variations. We found no water during the route, so it is good to equip yourself with a water bag or at least a couple of water bottles. The central part can be enriched with several trails, as well as the final part to Diaccia Botrona lends itself to several variants.
