Colle Croce, La Thuile
We are located in La Thuile. Located at 1,440 meters above sea level, this small village is nestled between high mountains at the end of the Aosta Valley, in the presence of the majestic peaks and glaciers of Mont Blanc, an unmistakable and unique backdrop for its trails. La Thuile landed on the mountain biking map when it began hosting the Enduro World Series in 2014, replicating two years later, while a Superenduro stage was held in 2017. These events have left a legacy of world-class trails.
From the center of La Thuile, we climb on asphalt with steady gradients toward Colle Croce. After about 6 km and 500 meters of elevation gain, when we arrive at the pass, we take on our right the path leading to the summit, a beautiful, completely rideable trail, on beaten earth, in the midst of nature and fantastic views. Arrived at the top, after a few shots to immortalize the beauty of the place, we head to the opposite side to start the descent on a fantastic trail of about 4 km and 800 meters of elevation gain that will accompany us to the village.
A natural, ultra flow single track, initially out of the woods, completely doable and very, very fun, an Enduro World Series trail.
