Monte Baldo - Cima Telegrafo
Conquering the peaks of Mount Baldo is an epic challenge that should not be approached lightly, seen from below it may seem quite easy but in reality you need a good perseverance and training, let's remember that you start from 75 meters and reach 2200 meters, accounts in hand more than 2100 meters of elevation gain but thanks to some up and down the total elevation gain is 2500 meters; this is a route suitable for MTB XC/AM with 57km distance, 6 hours on the move and 90% rideability.
We start from the convenient free parking lot on the state highway near Brentino; with a series of dirt roads, some bike paths and little asphalt we reach Caprino Veronese.
Now begins the never-ending climb across asphalt and dirt road to the Fiori del Baldo refuge (1850 asl), a great place to catch our breath and refresh ourselves before reaching about 2100m above sea level; now onward the trail becomes quite difficult, but flat and in some sections we will have to push, or rather, shoulder the bike.
We continue on the "Vetta delle Buse" trail, very exposed, but with fantastic views.
If you want to shorten the route by about 45 minutes you can opt not to reach the refuge "cima Telegrafo" and start the descent right away, but having reached this point we recommend to continue to enjoy a spectacular view of the lake of #garda.
The descent we can divide it into two parts: in the first one we will need to get off the saddle several times, the trail is very split, at times with high gradients and narrow hairpin bends; while in the second part we will be able to enjoy in a very long single track completely rideable that will make us forget how long we pushed the mtb previously; swirling and endless this descent will put a strain on the suspension and especially on the arms;
In our youtube channel, in addition to the full route, you will find the video of the second part of the descent: "Trail sent. 660, the arm breaker"
