Altopiano di Gora e foresta di Tarnova

The starting point is on the plateau of Gora, Slovenia, a town with an extensive network of Macadam-type dirt roads that we will use today to cross the dense Tarnova forest.

The two toughest climbs are found at km 2 with 6 km with average gradient at 6% and a few peaks at 14, and at km 24 with an average 8% climb with slightly higher peaks, but all on easy ground.

In addition to various plateau peaks we will also skirt the Vipava valley with its magnificent panorama.

I recommend bringing plenty of water supply since we will find no drinking fountains along the way.
