The Auzza reservoir in Slovenia serves through a pumping station the local power plant.

The start of the tour is from the Transalpina train station, located in Nova Gorica, Slovenia: from here we will face the first climb that will take us to the locality of Kekez, then we will aim toward Prevala and from there, thanks to a nice trail with steep gradients, we will head toward Gargaro.

Here we will begin the strenuous climb to Grgarske Ravne, Lohke and skirt the Debeli Gric, a short descent and then reach the artificial reservoir. Leaving the pond, we will begin the second very long and very tiring ascent of the day, to the peaks of Vetrnik and Dresca, which we will approach but not climb given the paths not suitable for bikes.

The next long descent will take us to the outskirts of Gargaro, but we will turn right and face the last short effort of the day, at the end of which the short and fast descent will be waiting for us, taking us back to town and then to our starting point.
