Coronato sprint al Tramonto
It is always a pleasure to descend from the summit of Monte Coronato, today especially at sunset light, and to our great surprise we find the descent completely cleared. The pleasure then continues as we arrive at Montefegatesi where we take the Goat Trail that leads to Ponte a Gaio, which has also just been rearranged.
We start from Ponte a Gaio well known because it is the starting point for visiting the Orrido di Botri. We travel up the paved slope and head toward Montefegatesi. When we reach the village we continue in the direction of Foce a Lago and finally the asphalt gives way to a pleasant and never too steep dirt road. Arriving at Foce, recognizable by the crucifix placed above the road, we turn left onto a nice single track that leads to Foce del Trebbio from where we climb to the summit on a path that is entirely rideable with good leg. From the summit we begin our descent on the Via degli Avi, a nice, recently resurfaced trail that leads us back to Montefegatesi. Just on the outskirts of the village we take the Goats path a nice trail not too challenging that takes us back to the starting point.
