Balzo delle Rose

Interesting tour to discover the ridge that extends northward from Hannibal Pass passing first through Rombiceti Pass and then through Balzo delle Rose. Departure from Fontanone just above the junction for Ponte A Gaio in Val Fegana. Following the Via del Duca we reach the valley of Foce a Giovo to continue on Cai 519 to Passo Annibale. From the latter we begin the descent of the ridge that passing through Rombiceti reaches Balzo delle Rose (Cai 515).

From the Balzo the trail would continue but we decide to freeride down aiming for the Duke road below that allows us not to lose much altitude. Reaching Foce del Giovo again we practice some forestry cuts on Cai 16 until the junction with Cai 38 leading to Refugiani. Last effort uphill to reach Foce a Fobi from where with a combination of trails 38 and 15 we reach the starting point.
