Lessinia + Carega
We had been thinking for a while about joining the Lessinia with the Carega . So, today, after a Saturday with the frontini, we went back to our endurones and got goat and cabbage. Starting from Giazza, the climb to Malga Bellocca has the first 3.5 km with really bad gradients and immediately makes us accumulate 600 meters of positive elevation gain, then we crossed the plateau always in soft ascent until Malga San Giorgio, and here begins the first freeride that will take us to the Pertica refuge. It is a difficult trail with several relaunches, exposed in places and is about 60% cyclable but believe me, it is worth it is spectacular.
When we arrive at the Pertica Refuge, the forest road going to Scalorbi is soft and in half an hour we are refreshed at the refuge. So many times we have come to the Carega and always wondered if DH 805 at Lago Secco was doable, today we tried it: fantastic, spectacular and, apart from a few passages to be done on foot, almost all of it is done in the saddle. It is exposed in several places and requires good control skills (it's not flow). So over a nice sandwich and an excellent beer at Boschetto we reached our intended goal. Adrenaline pumping in a wonder of nature.
