Claut, rifugio Plaut, forcella Clautana, impronta del dinosauro

The start (and finish) are located in a large dirt parking lot: from here you cross the town of Claut and begin to climb toward the Pradut refuge with an easily passable macadam road that then turns into a dirt road but always without technical difficulties, and then turns back into macadam.

After almost touching 1,500 meters, you descend again below 1,400 and, following a few nice hairpin bends, pass the Clautana Fork almost at 1,580 meters. The descent is via the Strada degli Alpini, a path of immeasurable beauty with breathtaking views: for the more sensitive, the trail is quite exposed.

When you reach the Casera Casavento cheese factory, you deviate from the main path and in a moment you are active at the thunderous Chiavola torrent in whose bed, having abandoned the bikes, we will be able to admire dinosaur footprints!

The return is via a small road on the orographic left of the Cellina stream that, with a bit of up and down, will take us to the village of Lesis and then to our starting point.
