Circumnavigazione San Daniele, Skozno, Ozeljan
Depart from the large Casa Rossa parking lot in Italy (Gorizia), but the entire route is in Slovenia.
After crossing the border and riding along a few bike paths, we cross the Panovec park and then begin the slow and inexorable climb to Vratca, among dirt tracks and little-used side roads: here we will find practical and nice drinking fountains.
In Ravnica we will have the choice of following the marked trail or, if brave and never in late spring-summer, we will choose the dirt road to the right which, turned into a path, climbs with Bulgarian gradients (alche 20-30%) with a bumpy bottom. Beware of the detour as in some sections in spring the vegetation is intrusive and brambles are everywhere.
From Sedovec we ride briefly on the asphalt road to Loqua, then after the hairpin bend we take the dirt road again and head toward Skozno, a magnificent viewpoint.
The subsequent descent to Sedovec requires a lot of technique in some places, but it is still doable and enjoyable: we arrive behind a cemetery where it is possible to refill the water bottle.
The return is through a valley that leads us to Rozna Dolina and then to our starting point.
