Bagno di Romagna: Chiardovo Freeride e Zuccherodante
Start from San Piero in Bagno, cross the town center and climb, first on a paved road then on a comfortable forest road, passing through the villages of Raggio, Vetrice and Fonte Abate, for about 500 meters of elevation gain. Once you reach the ridge you take the path that runs along it on the left (FC 201) you continue along the ridge trail with short descents and relaunches until you meet the Chiardovo trail on the left and, after a very short stretch, you turn left to take the first beautiful descent, the Chiardovo Freeride, one of the most beautiful in the area, with technical sections, relaunches, rocky cliffs, and steps until you reach Bagno di Romagna.
Once you get off in Bagno, turn right taking, the provincial road and follow it to the fork that leads to the Mandrioli Pass. It is a long climb with little traffic. When you reach the pass, take trail No. 4 on the left, which has a very steep ramp then a continuous up and down in the woods. When you come close to Mount Zuccherodante you go around it on the right and take trail No. 177 on the left, from which, after an uphill ramp, the beautiful descent begins. You descend into the forest with steep, hairpin bends until you come across some small rocks, past which the trail transits onto an uncovered and at times exposed ridge, with a few uphill ramps and short downhill sections.
Having passed the uncovered part of the trail, when you reach Nasseta, you embark on the second part of the descent, the most physical, at times fast and at times technical, with rocky, rocky steps and hairpin bends, which you follow until you reach the bottom of the creek. The path continues alongside the stream, departing from it only on a steep ramp and equally steep descent, at the end of which you reach Gualchiere on a driveway and from here on the provincial road, which you follow downhill to Bagno di Romagna and then return to San Piero on a bicycle path.
