THE CORNA BLACCA WILD AND SELVA TRAIL

A spectacular valley this Val Sabbia from where the tour will begin in the presence of Corna Blacca. We will ascend, passing through the famous Crinale , to the Portole Pass, then Capanna Tita Secchi before venturing into the wild descent of Selva.

We start from Forno d'Ono ( 520 m ) and on asphalt but secondary road uphill we reach Avenone ( 760 m ). From the village center we gradually leave the road and on gippabile begins the off-road adventure that will soon become enchanting. We reach Passo del Lasso ( 1,175 m ) and then again, following the track through a series of crossings on a mule track, to Malga Pian del Bene di Sotto ( 1,494 m ). We continue to Malga Campo di Nasso ( 1,513 m ) slightly downhill and from here hard uphill section with a push piece to reach on the pass with a 360° view, spanning Val Trompia, Val Sabbia and Val Camonica. We keep right towards Passo Falcone ( 1,653 m ) then Rifugio Blachì 2 ( 1,618 m ). From this point the games are almost done...almost.... In fact there will be a transfer section to Prael Pass ( 1,710 m ) on the Soldiers' Road . The next pass will be Paio Pass ( 1,685 m ) where the TRAIL IL CRINALE officially begins. Watch out for this section because the views are beautiful but you are on a trail hanging over the side of the mountain. One last quick push and you will reach the Portole Pass ( 1,726 m ) then the beautiful Tita Secchi Hut ( 1,740 m ) below the Caldoline peak. Here I would say to catch your breath admiring the beautiful view and then begin the very long descent. First stretch back to the junction for the SELVA TRAIL. Some recommendations. This trail is initially wild and there will be some vertical sections, some fast pushing and a few relaunches. But don't be in a hurry and in the same patience because it will then become nice and lead you to Selva ( 1,300 m ) with satisfaction. Now away on gippabile until Passo della Croce ( 1,220 m ) where shortly after begins the final part of the Trail all in undergrowth always slightly wild but smooth until Ono Degno ( 780 m ). We pass the village and again trail to be followed carefully that runs parallel in the final part towards the paved road. Beware near a barn there will be a gate to open and close then past the bridge we turn right and with a few pedalings we return to Forno d'Ono.
