Piancavallo (Fontanuzze+Bornass)

From Aviano we make a short transfer to Dardago from where the "Venezia delle Nevi" bike path starts, which climbs with a constant gradient that is well pedaled up to the Sauc hut. We continue on asphalt for another km to reach the Piancavallo traffic circle.

Having taken a coffee break and put on our protective gear, we start the descent to reach the attack of the "Fontanuzze" trail (some S3 passages). Arriving near the Bornass hotel we take the trail of the same name up to a short ascent that takes us to Colle San Giorgio. One more short descent and we will return to the vicinity of Aviano from where we started.
