TREMALZO (BS)
With this trail you really minimize the asphalt as the route is mostly on dirt tracks on the way up and on trails on the way down.
The start is from the convenient parking lot above Vesio and you climb up to above the Nota Pass on a characteristic dirt road between rock-cut tunnels. At Nota Pass begins the beautiful military road that with an unlit tunnel devalues to Tremalzo Pass. It descends to Rifugio Garda and the Malga Ciapa below. Now the dirt road gives way to the single trail that has several exposed sections. Nothing difficult but you must be careful; you cross places not traveled by mass tourism. Also of note are several push bike sections, until you reach the junction to Bocca di Fobia, that can leave their mark.
Arriving at Bocca di Nansesa, take the beautiful flow path that leads into the Valle di San Michele where the only difficulties are the numerous switchbacks. The return to Vesio is on dirt track with a very short final ascent.
Thanks to Giulien for the trail from which we took our cue. At this link the photoreport of the tour.
