Casera Rupeit - Casera Valfredda - Casera di Giais
Cyclo-mountaineering route made even more challenging by the snow, with ascent on asphalt and dirt road, last part on path with bike on the shoulder up to Casera Rupeit, traverse with few pedalable parts up and down, even violent, to Casera Giais and spectacular descent on paths only challenging in places up to Giais, ring closure on asphalt.
Starting from Grizzo di Montereale Valcellina, climb on medium gradient asphalt, past the observatory continue, the bottom becomes a cart track and then ends to give way to a steep path in the middle of the woods that climbs for about 200m dsl, all with bikes on the shoulders, up to Casera Rupeit, from which there is a remarkable panorama. From this point on, the view is extremely rewarding and compensates for the exertions that are amplified to this day by the presence of snow.
We continue up and down with long stretches of backpacking and pushing bikes first to Valfredda and then to Casera Giais, with a grassy bottom made wonderful by the snow. From this point the path on trail is all downhill with dirt, grass and rock bottom, until Casera Britol, from which begins a very fun trail that on a bumpy and uneven but rather fast bottom leads to Giais. The loop closes on asphalt.
