Pania di Corfino

MTB will allow us to see and taste unique landscapes and products of the upper Garfagnana. We will start from the village of Sassorosso, a characteristic village with unique peculiarities that owes its name to the place where it stands: a rocky outcrop of red marble that conveys this hue to the village.

The route, very varied and fun with passages even on foot for true off-road lovers, with its 42 km and 1,500 meters of elevation gain is very challenging and requires good technical and physical skills. The effort will be abundantly repaid by fun single tracks and unique viewpoints over the Garfagnana valley. The fountain of love, a spring of fresh water set in the green of a centuries-old beech forest, and the thrill of reaching the top of Pania di Corfino with the curtain of the Apuan Alps opening before us will certainly not be forgotten.
