Rifugio Posa Puner - Monte Crep

Route with ascent on asphalt to Posa Puner, up and down and final ascent-with a very short final push section-to Monte Crep and descent on fairly challenging CAI989 trail to Posa Granda, continuation on Sent. della Madonna del Carmine to the church and last stretch on asphalt to Miane.

Start from Miane and ride on asphalt (alternatively there is a lower dirt bike path) to Combai, to climb to the right at the junction for Rifugio Posa Puner, on a gentle, steady climb, not very scenic but pleasant in the woods, to the refuge, near which you begin to enjoy the view. Continue along the sloping path a little further down, fun and fast, leading on the north slope to a cart track.

At the first junction climb left up a short steep ramp to Malga Mont and push on to the nearby summit of Monte Crep, from which there is a fine view. Descending from the same trail, continue on the grass path that leads to the next CAI989, at times bumpy and technical in the woods, with some ridge sections alternating with coasting and steep descents with tight switchbacks, actually very varied and long. Last sections of trail cut across the Madonna del Carmine road, with both underbrush and firm rock bottom. It comes out directly in Miane.
