Metello Bocca di val Calda Castellino

Departure from Metello di Soraggio in the direction of Passo della Focerella then descent to the Bargetana refuge,we continue reaching the Lama Lite pass to then make a passage via path to the Battisti refuge that unfortunately in the November period remains closed like the previous one to reopen on weekends from December and in the continuation of the winter period.

We continue in the direction of Passone and then follow CAI trail 607 passing under the summit of Alpe di Vallestrina and from the pass of the same name until we reach Passo della Volpe also known as Bocca di Val Calda. From the pass we abandon CAI path 607 in favor of 681 or Lamaccio a splendid path that takes us to the forestry road coming from Case Cattalini. We ascend again to Lama Lite Pass and then tackle a shoulder-bike section that passes by the small Bargetana pond and leads us to the saddle of Monte Prado.

We are on the GEA ridge trail, which we will follow until we reach the summit of Mount Castellino (1947 mt.) and then take a nice, steep descent to Focerella Pass. We return toward the refuge la foce via the Airone 3 trail taken uphill previously and once we reach the refuge we take the junction that leads to join CAI trail 74, which starting from the Romecchio pass leads to Metello. Spectacular trail for those who love the natural with passages of all kinds. Reaching Metello again we make a mandatory stop at the Osteria for a nice cutting board and a thirst-quenching beer.
