Anello Santa Vittoria Bocco Iscioli
The start is from Santa Vittoria, a hamlet of Sestri Levante.
We start climbing on asphalt toward Tassani until we see a dirt road on the left; we take it and arrive at the abandoned quarry. After a piece of falsopiano we take a right uphill before reaching the refuge. We continue the steep climb on a dirt road, passing Mount Tregin, which we will have on our right, and arrive at a clearing with a picnic table. We take the path on the left and at the colletta begin to climb toward Roccagrande, on the left. The trail is not very marked, but still we can see the cross at the top of the mountain and get a good orientation. We reach the top and can enjoy the best view of Sestri, in my opinion.
We return back to the colletta and have fun looking for the most flowing line. Once at the colletta we follow the path on the left, very technical, to be avoided in wet weather. Let's be careful as soon as the trail opens to stay on the right track and take the path to the left that gets us to the Mont Blanc quarry. Here we descend with the dirt track to Iscioli, where we take the asphalt on the left and return to Santa Vittoria, our starting point.
The dirt ascent after the refuge is steep and the bottom is slippery, and the trail down from Roccagrande to the quarry is technical and has some exposed parts; it is not to be taken lightly.
