Corchia Voltoline
Very challenging route due to difficult descents to be tackled with due care (or better on foot). Ascent on Ruosina mule track to the junction for Retigliano. You take the very steep path that starts next to the entrance of the cemetery (the first tens of meters are bad on a bike, but if you want you can avoid them by going over the asphalt road that you take to the right just after the cemetery). Then continue on a path/muletrack that is steep in places to the asphalt fork to Retignano. From here asphalt (scenic and with little traffic) to Passo Croce .
Then continue to Fociomboli Pass and from here follow the marmifera/sentiero 129 under Corchia to the Del Freo refuge. This section (about 3 km) for almost half is to be done on foot. From the refuge we continue downhill true the Foce di Mosceta and then along the beautiful and very scenic Trail 9 to the Alpino Pass. From here begin the Voltoline, very tight switchbacks with loose gravel that require a lot of riding technique. This section is only 700 long but is very dangerous because it is exposed In several places it is advisable to descend on foot.
