FABRIZIA - CANOLO

Route departing from Fabrizia, a village of woodland and charcoal traditions rich in orchards, and continuing to the Ferrata Cross Pass, at 1128 m. A downhill section leads to Valle Gelata (1016 m) and then climbs up to 1137 m on the foothills of Monte Seduto. From here you descend for about 12 km, and after passing Piano della Limina and the Jonio-Tirreno highway, you ascend and then descend again to the junction with SP35. From here begins the slight ascent to Canolo (946), which is reached after about 5 km, a village between two canyons on the Dossoni della Melia, from which it dominates the Locris, just 2 km from the Mercante Pass, the pass that already in Magna Graecia times connected the two coasts of Calabria.
