LAGO CECITA - SILVANA MANSIO

Route starting from Lake Cecita, which climbs rapidly up the mountain. After about 12 km, having passed the Serra della Castagna, on SP 208 you reach the slopes of Pettinascura located at about 1560 m; after a long descent and a slight ascent, the trail leads to Germano (1263 m), a hamlet of San Giovanni in Fiore. From here, circling around the area of Lake Ariamàcina (1316 m), one reaches the vicinity of the Cross of Megara and the Nature Reserve of the ?Giants of Fallistro?, 5 hectares of centuries-old pine forest. Past the village of Sculca (1360 m), taking SP 211, you reach Silvana Mansio, the charming village of wooden huts at 1470 m above sea level. The route is part of the Natural Parks of Calabria Cycle Route.
