Ciaramiti
MTB excursion, very scenic ride, almost all on asphalt, so also rideable by gravel and road bikes. We start from Nicotera and ride along the SP24 to Monte Poro. When you arrive in front of the Chieda della Madonna del Carmelo, you turn right, toward Coccorino. A beautiful asphalt descent begins, quite wide with some tricky curves, very fast, but I recommend taking it slow to enjoy the view. Finished the descent, you have arrived in Coccorino. at the end of the straight you turn left and go down to Coccorino mare.
You start again and ride a very short stretch among the rocks, take the bike on your shoulder for a few meters and climb the stairs (they are about ten steps). When you reach the road, you continue to the Judge's beach in Santa Maria di Ricadi.
You continue to Grotticelle beach, below the Capo Vaticano lighthouse.
You go back up and make another stop at the Capo Vaticano lookout.
At this point, you start again and continue to Tropea, going through the center (be careful, you must carry your bike by hand).
Once the stop in Tropea is over, you start again, pedaling toward the village of Ciaramiti first and Caria later. After finishing the climb you are on the Monte Poro plateau, where you will ride a long straight stretch, at the end of which you must turn right and follow the road to Nicotera.
The route is very scenic, to be done without rushing, with numerous stops.
