Il paese del Drago

MTB excursion with lots of asphalt. It starts from Nicotera, direction Francavilla Angitola, the village of the Dragon according to an ancient legend. The route involves riding along provincial or state roads, but also many unpaved sections, with some crossing in streams (depending on the season), so not suitable for road bikes. Arriving in Francavilla, you will enter the historic center of the town, riding through the alleys of the village.

The outward journey is almost entirely on asphalt, on provincial or SS18 roads. The return, on the other hand, is along country roads or dirt roads, passing along the shores of Lake Angitola and through the village of Maierato, until you reach Vibo Valentia. From here on, however, it will be along the SP.
