Sant'Elia Speleota

Mtb excursion to the cave of Sant'Elia Speleota in the municipality of Melicuccà (RC). The route is mostly on road (at least half of it), but with stretches of dirt, so it is also suitable for gravel, but not for road bikes. It is a fairly fast ride, riding through the Gioia Tauro plain and along the ss18 in the direction of Palmi. Before you get to Palmi, you turn left and here begin the small roads and dirt tracks that lead to the cave of St. Elias. After visiting the cave, you go up toward Mount Sant'Elia and descend toward Gioia Tauro, retracing the same route as the outward journey backwards.
