Pizzo Soverato Pizzo

Point-to-point mtb excursion from/to the Coast of the Gods (Pizzo Calabro), with an intermediate stop in Soverato (CZ). The route crosses the Calabrian greenhouses, passing by Lake Angitola and then passing through the towns of Monterosso Calabro (VV), San Vito sullo Jonio (RC) and Petrizzi. The route is mostly on dirt or inter-modal roads, and coincides for a small one with that of Kalabria Trekking's coast-to-coast trekking route, and allows you to enjoy the beauty of Calabrian wilderness by passing through fields of centuries-old olive trees, rows of vines, wheat and prickly pear fields, chestnut and beech forests. Obligatory on the way back an ice cream in Pizzo!
