Monte Prampa e Torricella
Having parked the car at the Golfarone waterfalls we go up the asphalt road in the direction of Febbio, Roncopianigi, Monteorsaro. Immediately after the refuge the road becomes unpaved and shortly thereafter we reach the Cisa Pass. From the latter we descend, losing about 250 meters in elevation until we meet the trail marker indicating Passo della Croce or Sella del Prampa.
The climb is not completely cyclable, in fact in some sections it is very steep forcing us to carry the bike on our shoulders. Arriving at the Sella, we refresh ourselves in the shade of a tree and being ahead of the schedule we decide on the first off-plan of the day, which is a touch-and-go to the top of the Cisa, a peak missing from the family album.
It is well worth it given the beautiful views and the very enjoyable descent. Back to the Sella, we have to make the last effort of the day, always reaching the summit of Prampa by bike.
Very nice descent also from this one in a really wild environment. As soon as we hit the asphalt road, it only takes a few pedalings to take a path on the right that, passing through a beautiful pine forest, takes us to the summit of Mount Torricella from where a beautiful and very tough trail prepared by the guys of "Ride the Giant" starts, a unique ridge as beautiful as it is difficult for its gradients but even more so for the highly spectacular exposed sections. The trail never lets up always forcing us to be very careful, some sections seem impossible but we never set foot on the ground thanks also to the painstaking work done marking the passages and the direction to follow.
Once the descent is over, all that's left to do is to appease the adrenaline rush with a nice swim at the Golfarone Waterfall, the second off-program of the day.
