Monte Prado monte Vecchio da Civago

An uninterrupted descent from the summit of Mount Prado to the village of Civago in Emilia Romagna. Leaving the village we head toward Case Cattalini from where an easy forest road begins, passing under the slopes of Mount Ravino, cungiunge us with the Forbici forest road. We continue to climb and once we reach the Lama Lite pass we take a break at the Battisti refuge. We resume pedaling and inbovato the Cai 631 we begin the first part of the most challenging portage. We pass the Bargetana pond and continue climbing to the Prado saddle.

From here on the bike can also be pushed and some short sections even pedaled. Reaching the summit, a wonderful ridge descent begins with some pedaled sections alternating with some relaunches. Today we also decide to reach the elevation of Monte Vecchio, which takes about ten minutes of biking away. Descending towards bocca di Massa we pass under monte Cella and the Forbici ridge and then continue on a nice single track in the woods to the pass of the same name.

The descent is not over yet, ansi the highlight comes right now and taking the Cai 603,among the most beautiful descents in this part of the Tosco Emiliano Apennines,we reach the village of Romita and finally Civago. I classified the tour with medium difficulty but in some passages very good riding skills are needed.

The pushing part has its greatest physical commitment in the section leading to the Bargetana pond to the Prado saddle, up to here it takes about 20 minutes and another 20/25 or so must be added to reach the top although much less demanding.
