PROVENZA DOPPIA ASCESA AL MONTE FERION

Beautiful route in the hinterland of Nice with the double ascent to Mount Ferion. This ride will greatly appeal to bikers with good/very good technique given the difficulties that will be faced on the descent.

Start from Contes and asphalt until Coraze small village to visit. You now climb on long and excellent forestry until below The final stretch that following the track will lead to the summit with the last 200mt on the shoulder. Alternatively you can go around the summit and reach it by pedal as in the second ascent.

From the summit go back for a moment and take the trail down to the coul de font Blanca. From the col you climb with a push (but short) section to a small rocky summit where another nice trail starts with some very difficult passages.

You cross the road and the trail now becomes easier until Levens, which we visit. We now start again for the second ascent to Ferion from this valley. Having reached the top of pedal this time we now take its ridge and descend in a southerly direction.

First section on sublime ridge with continuous difficulties and pedal strokes to float over rocks. Then always challenging path and technical passages will make you sweat until the end. It is not over yet because with a short ascent we would go for a finale worthy of the best rides on a trail marked by huge boulders and still technical sections that will be the icing on a perfect ride.
