RIFUGIO PERNICI - BOCCA DI SAVAL - N.454 - TROTA

One of the most beautiful tours done in the area that leads from Riva del Garda to Lake Ledro to discover the Pernici refuge.

We depart from the beautiful Riva del Garda and climb the scenic Ponale road to Pieve di Ledro. We divert to Locca then Lenzumo where the ascent to the Pernici Refuge officially begins. Upon reaching Bocca di Trat we continue on this wonderful dirt road to the Pernici Refuge. We rest and catch our breath before starting the first stretch that will be a transfer where we have to be careful. In fact, behind the refuge starts the path that will lead us up to Bocca di Saval: it will be a little pedaled a little pushed and a little downhill. Upon reaching the Bocca prepare for absolute enjoyment. The famous No. 454 will be staged with an impressive mix of situations where living every meter let your MTB slide. Rock n' Roll, Hard Rock, Flow, Crumble and foliage but also roots and some switchbacks with views of Lake Ledro. We will reach Mezzolago and do a section adjacent to the Lake before starting the last section that from Prè di Ledro will lead us, through the Trout Trail to the old Ponale harbor. This will be a nervous and vertical trail in some sections not recommended during rainy periods. We will have to make the tunnel in the direction of Riva ( eye ) and then return to the starting point. Have a good raid.
