Short and challenging route in the lower Illasi Valley

Pleasant and challenging, though short, this route in the lower Illasi Valley. Ideal to be done in cool/cold weather and to be avoided in summer.

It is almost entirely on dirt road except for the climb from Tregnago to Croce del Vento, which is on a road with little traffic.

It includes some very steep and challenging ramps on dirt road. The last steep ascent to the top of Garzon is also strenuous due to accumulated fatigue.

The descents are never challenging. Very nice and smooth first descent from the Quarries to Tregnago. A bit disappointing is the last part of the descent on Cellore, which is on very steep cement; perhaps it is worth looking for something more attractive.

Very nice are the two high sections on Via Cara and between Mt. Precastio and Garzon.
