Between the valleys of Mezzane and Illasi

Short but pleasant route of some effort among the valleys of Mezzane di Illasi.

It involves two climbs, a long dirt traverse and two pleasant descents.

The two climbs, short but quite challenging because of the gradient, are on paved roads with virtually no traffic. The long traverse, after the first climb, is very nice among vineyards and groves in a typical hilly environment. The two descents are flow except for the final section of the first one (Winkels Villa) where there are two nice tough sections on rocky steps (be careful if it is wet).

While short I would classify it as medium both physically and technically.

Personally, I really enjoyed the long descent that leads down into the Vajo di Mezzane: really picturesque and sparsely frequented environment, beautiful and isolated location of the Villa Maffei farmhouse.
