Monti Giogo, Vidalto e Vigoleno

Tour in Val d'Arda with departure from the charming village of Castell'arquato, visit to the medieval village of Vigloeno and in between climbs to Mt. Giogo and Vidalto.

From Castell'Arquato immediately climb into the village toward the castle, continue toward Mount Giogo on dirt road and trail, steep descent to the little church of Madonna del Piano.

Short ascent then down into the Nure and back up on dirt road until after the cement factory.

Uphill with steep sections to asphalt where you go right, then nice downhill trail to Corti.

Challenging climb on dirt road and trail to Mount Vidalto, then downhill and twisted turn to get around a bridge closed for work.

Long downhill trail, then follow CAI signs to Vigoleno, beautiful medieval village, short climb then downhill trail to the valley floor.

Asphalt ascent and, at the pass, go left on the beautiful ridge above Lugagnano then downhill and asphalt for the return to the village.
