Val Nossana dal Leten
Ascent to Rifugio Santa Maria di Leten top views for a nice tough descent. Climb from the classic challenging cement road with average slopes of 18% that passes the Vaccaro refuge (water point). Continue by a cemented track with pebbles that make the climb even more challenging. Continuing by off-track variants less boring than the carrale bruciametri we pass near the attack of this descent and then arrive at the Fop hut from which this descent starts.
In this variant of the tour we continue to the Fop hut, about 30 minutes (250 meters) of pushing bike in fantastic environment awaits us.We start with the first 50 meters to push and then after some pedaled sections with very technical passages not particularly exposed, we continue with about 30 meters to do on the shoulders and other pedaled-pushed sections until the Santa Maria di Leten hut. From here the descent begins, very technical for the first 150 meters with several S4/S3 passages to then gradually descend in difficulty to baita de Sura (here we connect to the descent from baita fop) Poco this point a you can visit a centuries-old beech tree. Continue on beautiful trail S2 with a few S3 passages.
At the low junction (elevation 850 meters) continue on the high trail (follow this trail) this is a smooth and beautiful S2 trail. If you are not in a hurry and want to do something different and more technical you can follow this trail, it is the low trail mainly downhill with many technical various sliding passages but also with several raises and crossings in river fords (often dry). Total duration of this trail about 3.5Km in 45 minutes. We reconnect to Parre by short cemented climb and short easy descent.
