Val Nossana dal Leten
Not too challenging cycle-mountaineering tour to the fantastic Santa Maria di Leten top views for a nice tough descent. Climb from the classic cemented road to the Vaccaro refuge (water point) challenging with average slopes of 18% that passes the Vaccaro refuge. Continue by a cemented track with pebbles that make the climb even more challenging. Continuing by off-track variants less boring than the carrale bruciametri we pass near the attack of this descent and then arrive at the Fop hut from which this descent starts (?track link?).
In this variation of the tour we continue to the Santa Maria del Leten hut, so we have about 30 minutes (250 meters) of pushing bikes in fantastic surroundings.
We start with the first 50 meters pushing and then after a few pedaled sections with very technical passages that are not particularly exposed, we continue with about 30 meters to push and other pedaled-pushed sections to the Santa Maria di Leten refuge.
From here the descent begins, very technical for the first 150 meters with several S4/S3 passages to then gradually descend in difficulty to baita de Sura (here we connect to the descent from baita fop) Poco this point a you can visit a centuries-old beech tree. Continue on beautiful trail S2 with a few S3 passages.
At the low junction (elevation 850 meters) I recommend to continue on the high trail and follow ? this trail ? it is a smooth and beautiful S2 trail.
While on the other hand if you are not in a hurry and want to do something different and more technical you can follow this trail, it is the low trail mainly downhill with many technical passages various sliding but also with various relaunches and crossings in river fords (often dry).
Total duration of this trail about 3.5Km in 45 minutes. We reconnect to Parre by short cemented climb and short easy descent.
Alternatives Descent Fop hut; Descent on upper nossana valley trail.
