Tre fiumi, una laguna e un delta - giorno 2
Depending on where we stayed overnight, we’ll cycle a few kilometers along the somewhat monotonous Treviso-Ostiglia route to Legnago, where we’ll cross the bridge over the Adige River and follow the river along its right bank for a few dozen kilometers. We leave the riverbank to follow the well-marked Adige-Po route, which takes us to Italy’s longest river along quiet, traffic-free roads. Once we reach the Po, we follow the road along its left bank and stay on it all the way to Porto Viro. The last 14 km are quite busy. In Porto Viro, I stayed here. It’s near the Romea State Road, with no restaurants nearby for dinner (I took my bike and rode into town—lights required). It’s a nice place with an excellent breakfast, but you have to sleep with the windows closed because of the road noise.
