Monte Morello Trails 2

Compilation of descents at Monte Morello. Ascent by secondary roads and trail to Collina and from there by asphalt to Monte Morello passing by the spring and Girello. Descent of Brigante a nice flow with hairpin bends and jumps. We continue the descent for the more challenging BlackMamba: technical track, with steps trialistic passages on rock, steep, jumps interspersed with flow sections. You complete the descent with Intifada and Vietcong also these technical and challenging that soften only in the final part. You climb up on asphalt to via Dante Castiglione, to take the beautiful Opera Prima trail (hard initial tear and then well rideable) to Piazzale Leonardo. Then proceed along the forest road to Poggio all'Aia.

You arrive at the crossroads along the forest road (saddle of hills). You retrace the long gradual forestry climb and keep to the low trail and after a nice traverse you arrive at Pianettole. Fast and technical trail/ground and firm rock; at a clearing you keep to the left and the trail continues with passages on rock, steps, tight switchbacks and more steps .Unfortunately, the last section of the Brucomela /Rocce is closed due to landslide (for several months now) and at the dirt road we took a right and after a stretch a left onto a Cai trail that takes us back down the valley, also moderately technical with firm rock and rock steps.Arrived at a group of houses on the left, new break for landslides and then on asphalt to climb back to Collina.A short section of forestry already traveled to get to take the nice final Cappelle trail: fast track, with jumps and a few more peppery technical passages (to be followed due to numerous trail crossings and not to miss the peppery final section). We arrive just above Settimello and shortly to the parking lot.(S4)
