Thisitinerary is a true journey through time, taking you through historic villages, along ancient roads and mule tracks. A memorable route through lush forests, picturesque villages and vast vistas.

Leaving Montese by road, leave it behind you for cavedanie that skim past Pra'piano, Salto, Aravecchia and then at Mount Maiolo begin a wide dirt descent to Bertocchi (fountain) and after an open piece on false level with wide views of the Panaro valley resume climbing in the woods to the oratory of Casola. Descend to the hamlet of San Rocco with its sandstone formations, touch the hamlet of San Giacomo (fountain) then borgo San Martino to climb on a scenic road toward the ridge, paved in places, to the gates of Montese.

One of many mountain bike trails in collaboration between 841 RIDE Wild and the Municipality of Montese, which with varying levels of difficulty, elevation gain and length, according to IMBA's ITRS signage, take you to discover an area perfect for your dowels.
