MTB 7 La Frontiera

Get ready for an unforgettable adventure among lush forests and breathtaking views at the edge of the Montese area. This route will take you to explore the most remote areas, offering a unique experience between nature and history. If you've got legs, connect it to Route 6 and you'll have your work cut out for you.

Near the turnaround of route 6 (connecting section) at Osteria di Rivella (which is then eventually reachable by car by asphalt) a cartroad starts that in a varied landscape goes up touching the extreme areas of the Montese territory on the border with Zocca and Castel d'Aiano: first Semelano then Montalto. At the end of a long descent out and into the woods you reach the Rio Rivella again and here you can also return to Montese by following the second part of MTB route 7 Il Selvatico. The added elevation gains of the two routes are significant and suitable for trained cyclists. You also pass near the reconstructed Etruscan settlement near Lake Bracciano.

Oneof many mountain bike trails in collaboration between 841 RIDE Wild and the Municipality of Montese, which with varying levels of difficulty, elevation gain and length, according to IMBA's ITRS signage, take you through an area perfect for your dowels.
