ETNA NORD 3: Milo fino al Rifugio Citelli e tanti single track
The ride starts from the town of Milo uphill on asphalt for about 9 km and then continues uphill on forest roads in the Cubania forest to Rifugio Citelli, just before the refuge the trail starts but if you continue for 200 meters and are lucky to find it open you can get something to drink or eat. The first trail (CITELLI) is mainly flow with some technical passages (S1), sandy ground with some roots in the middle of the forest, maintained with mixed fortunes and ends where there is a Trofa du Camperi (very old beech). After a short transfer on forestry, a series of short trails (S1) begin, but in some cases with tough passages inside the Cubania forest that take us toward the climb to Monte Fontane.
From here inside its crater we descend along a trail called the Wolves' trail and then find ourselves inside the Bove Valley on forest trails that are sometimes a bit bumpy. We arrive at the famous Ilice del Carrino with Druid atmospheres and then embark on the last carrereccia that will take us back to the starting village at Belvedere Square in Milo.
