Voltois and Oltris
This short ride makes it possible to visit two pretty little-known pesini in Carnia, plus part of the route follows the path of the ancient ancone, so I would count it among the bicycle touring routes. Although it is possible to start from Ampezzo, the shortest and most logical solution involves parking on the Lumiei bridge. Here begins the climb, on an asphalt road that , crossing the village of Voltois, takes us to the Pani Fork. This track characterized by a fairly sustained and regular gradient is used for the non-competitive time trial that takes place every year in July. Once at the gallows, we retrace a short downhill section to enter on the right a path in a very beautiful beech forest mmon (indications Sentiero delle antiche ancone) characterized by a regular bottom on an abundant carpet of leaves (S0-S1). Only in the final part, which takes place in a collium with moving stones the diffiulty slightly increases (S1-S2), You arrive at the houses of Oltris where a stop is appropriate. From here continue following the trail that only briefly takes advantage of the asphalt road to take a path back to the bridge over the Lumiei (S1). The last few meters that are a bit exposed (rope) are done with the bike by hand.
