Arabba Pordoi X3
Beautiful compilation with three very varied descents in the Arabba - Pordoi - Canazei area. We start from Arabba and climb up the beautiful forest road to the Pordoi Pass; first section with modest gradient that, however, definitely increases in the second part along the ski slopes. From the pass we take the Cai 601 trail that climbs towards the Fedarola refuge. This is also all rideable but with some pretty tough ramps even with e-bikes. Before the refuge you take a right and after a traverse you get to the attack of the pistini that descend towards Canazei.Upper part Double U, a fast little pistino with parabolics, jumps, switchbacks and some more technical sections on small rocks or roots. You arrive in Pecol. Lower part trail 9.90: beautiful DH, never extreme but alternating very technical sections on small rocks and roots with steeps and steps to nice flowing pistino sections. A good alternation of flow and technical.
Arriving in the vicinity of Canazei, we take a forest road to climb up to the Pordoi Pass. Uphill on forest road, well pedalable with a few climbs and we pass by the Hotel Gonzaga and then arrive at the pass. Here we climb back up to Cai 601 and this time we arrive at the Fedarola refuge. Here a fun little pistino starts that is extremely flowing, with hairpin bends and banks, and near Hotel Lezuo you keep to the right to take trail 680, a beautiful traverse that takes us towards Porta Vescovo. The first section is flat with a couple of stream crossings on foot, in the second part there are several small rips and again some walking passages.
You get to the dirt road that goes up to Porta Vescovo (well pedaled) and arrive at the Carpazza chairlift station. Here starts the DH of Porta Vescovo, which in fact is a red, but very nice, not too "licked," for there more integrated into the rocky habitat of the area.Fast sections from pistini, very technical section on rock (avoidable) and still alternating flow and technical up to the forest road that goes up to Pordoi already done in the morning.
You go up the forest road again to Pordoi and here you take to the right a section of closed road that leads to the shrine, before arriving you follow the marker for the Sella Ronda (Green) and past an artificial lake begins an exclusive mtb trail that is a spectacle (nothing to do with the old trail of a few years ago!!) A beautiful trail always very smooth with some technical hairpin bends at the beginning and then moderately technical sections, and then flow and a spectacular view. Some climbs all pedalable and then after monte Burz, the final little pistino, also a spectacle. You get to the dirt road and in short time you descend to Arabba.
