Super DH del Costone
Here is a beautiful connection between Val Seriana to Val Brembana, which with Mount Costone as its centerpiece will give you beautiful views and also a long descent that you would not expect to find . Recommended EMTB trail, for MTB follow this similar trail. Thanks to the maximum altitude of 1200m meters I think I found one of the most beautiful winter rides in the area. The first climb is comfortable on asphalt, and it is the famous Nembro-Selvino Arriving in the Salmezza area we leave the asphalt in the direction of Monte Costone, the climb is mostly pedalable, it develops on a beautiful ridge and after the last 5 minutes with push bike takes us in to the Madonnina del Monte Costone and already this part is worth the beauty of the ride.
Protectors on because a 780-meter descent of enjoyment awaits us! The more skilled can descend from the S3+ vertical; while for those who don't feel up to it, follow the trail partly retracing their steps and diverting to a nice S1/S2. Arriving at the junction at an elevation of 950 meters, 100m of a scenic S3- awaits us before becoming a beautiful guided in the forest S1 with a few S2 passages. At elevation 550m the trail veers west on a nice S3, for those who don't feel up to it veer north.
From here we have 500 meters of ascent to Canto Basso, which I do not recommend on MTB (20% gradient on uneven ground). Without a motor I recommend this track with more elevation gain but more rideable. During the ascent at an altitude of 780 on the left you go directly up to the Nese Fork, while turning right and following the track you go up to the Canto Basso, from which it is possible to return to the valley via the beautiful descent to the Forcella del Sorriso; or following this track return to Nese from an initially smooth S2 trail to then become a challenging S3. It is possible to avoid this challenging section by climbing directly to the fork from the junction indicated earlier. From Nese a beautiful and scenic S1/S2 traverse awaits us, mostly on a slight descent, which with a few raises will take us to Lonno.
From Lonno we descend from the life trail, a nice guided and easy S1.
