Description
Scenic route to the abandoned village of Vergheto (last 200 meters walk) and then to Colonnata . The discesaperx the village of Lardo is on quite technical trail, nothing difficult, at the limit to descend in some sections. Also in the area is the beautiful work of Kobra (the David), painted on the cut wall at the top of the Gioia quarry. The climb to the top is really challenging.
You can only get to the top of the quarry on weekends when the quarry is not operational. Next are the Candia hills above Massa.
