Moggio Udinese - Val Alba - Cjasut dal Scior - sentiero la Lope
Cyclo-mountaineering route with steep ascent on asphalt and dirt road up to the ruins of the barracks just above Rifugio Vualt, then on CAI 425 and CAI 422 path that is not very pedalable up to Cjasut dal Scior, descent first on the flowing CAI 422 and then on Sent. La Lope, at times exposed and technical until taking CAI 425 to Dordolla, ascent to Troi dal Checo, fun and moderately technical ups and downs to Pradis, from which you return on a slight descent on asphalt.
Start from Moggio Udinese and on asphalt climb up Val Aupa to the Pradis crossroads, right to continue uphill and right again to Val Alba, steeper and steeper with few glimpses of views in the woods to Rifugio Vualt and a little further on to the ruins of the Great War barracks, leave the asphalt and take CAI 425 on the left, at the limit of rideability, with many pushing stretches, at the crossroads continue left towards the Cjasut on CAI422 which after a short while becomes very steep on rock, carry the bike on your back until the Cjasut dal Scior shelter. Spendid view down to the sea, very rewarding. Start to descend continuing smoothly through the mountain pines to the junction with the La Lope trail, not very popular, bumpy, with steep and exposed sections, narrow hairpin bends and quite clean, with dirt and rock bottom. Long and rewarding it leads to the junction with the fluid CAI 425 that descends quickly to Dordolla. It climbs to the left over meadow and then up and down between footbridges and forest, fun and not all pedalable until Drentus, from which you descend on asphalt to take the Troi dal Checo to the right, fun and fast up and down with relaunches that require energy and leads to the bridge-passerelle, opposite the climb to Grauzaria, which connects to the Val Aupa road, which you retrace on a slight descent until closing the loop.
