Sulle colline Veronesi a ridosso della pianura tra Marcellise e Cellore
Beautiful winter trail in the hills close to the plains. You face 4-5 climbs and related descents in the middle of vineyards in a hilly environment that is very striking for its autumn colors. I call it winter because it is suitable for the cool/cold season, while in summer there would be suffering from the heat.
The climbs, although short, are quite challenging because they have some pretty tough ramps due to the steep gradient. Particularly challenging, but very beautiful and satisfying, is the dirt climb up Via Cara from the Mezzane valley.
The descents are never challenging except for the first part of the descent from Via Cara down into the Illasi Valley near Cellore. It presents a section on a narrow, rocky trail in the middle of the woods (I would say a M2 section).
Although it does not present a large elevation gain (about 750 meters), the trail is physically quite demanding due to the repeated climbs. Technically, apart from the section described above, it is not challenging and with good technique can also be done with a front bike.
