Tauffi Monte Lancino Colombino Montemezzano di sotto
Starting from Doganaccia we reach the Croce Arcana from where we begin the ascent to Cima Tauffi alternating between pedaled and back-bike sections. From the summit we descend in the direction of the ridge that leads towards Libro Aperto. Reaching Mount Lancino we descend toward the Taburri refuge and intercepting the forestry road we resume the ascent toward the Colombino Pass.
The climb has a few steep tears and soon turns into a nice pedalable singletrack except for about fifty very steep meters. When we reach the pass we have several alternatives: descend to the village of Mirandola, continue the ridge to #fanano or the more daring descents of Montemezzano. Obviously we opt for the latter.
Starting to descend one must be careful because the trail is not easy to find. The descent from the start is found to be worthy of the descriptions: very steep and with many tight switchbacks. The first section ends at the junction for the variant di Sopra while we continue right uphill and then face the variant di Sotto with very daring rocky passages. Once on the road, a long climb awaits us until we reach the Arcana Cross again.
I have classified the tour for experts precisely because of the skills it takes to tackle Montemezzano di Sotto long and relentless, but to my way of thinking very rewarding.
