Da Štanjela a Nova Gorica

Little asphalt, a few trails, lots of dirt road with no particular technical difficulties, no leg-breaking climbs or psychopathic descents. 37 km in contact with nature, among deer, hawks, horses and a few dogs, all strictly free and in the middle of the road. The idea of this series of tours is to take the train to a location inside Slovenia and then return home/car by bike.

The tour departs from the Nova Gorica train station, the famous Transalpina, where we can conveniently leave our car: tickets and schedules are readily available here, prices are nationallypopular, and bikes on the train, as indeed everywhere else in Slovenia, are welcome.

Arriving in San Daniele del Carso we begin the ride through the forests of Slovenia, where we are sure to encounter some friendly wildlife.

Arriving at the train station from which we started will also allow us to have a place to refresh ourselves.
