Dalla Mirandola a Caselle, i borghi fantasma dell'Appennino

Great ride starting from the Locality due Ponti just below #fanano. On the way up we make a brief stop to visit the Doccione waterfalls and then continue in the direction of the Colombino pass without missing a good coffee at the Taburri refuge. We resume the climb on the forest road immersed in a beautiful fir forest and arrived at the bivouac la Pilaccia a nice single track leads us to the pass where we stop for refreshments.

Now the first diacesa to the abandoned hamlet of Mirandola awaits us, very nice and moderately technical. Past the hamlet and finished the descent in 30 minutes we reach Capanno Tassoni where we stop for a piece of cake. We resume in the direction of Passo della Riva on comfortable forestry until almost the pass where the road turns into a path that is always cyclable except for a few dozen meters.

The climb is not over, we have to reach the Serra dei Baichetti from which there is a beautiful view of the peaks from Croce Arcana to the imposing Corno alla Scale with the Nudanext to it, laboriously conquered the previous year. The first part of the descent to Lake Pratignano is wonderful and fast and in the blink of an eye we arrive at the rest area by the lake.

We rest for about ten minutes before embarking on the most difficult descent of the day that will lead us to Caselle, the second of the two Ghost Villages. The trail is amazing, very technical at the top and smoother as we descend. Three years later I do it with the enthusiasm of novelty leaving me fully satisfied.

The sentierio flows onto a nice roadway that we leave a little further down to take the last short but intense trail that brings us to the asphalt right at the bridge over the Ospitale Creek.
