Fanano - Monte Cimone - Taburri - Cai 425 - Fanano
It is a very beautiful and scenic tour, well practicable from jungno until late October. In the early autumn period you can enjoy the beautiful contrast of colors where in the first part of the descent the bright red of the blueberries prevails. Departure from the village of #fanano from which you reach, part on asphalt and part on trail Pian del Falco and continue on asphalt to the lake of Ninfa. At the lake take the military road and on asphalt climb to Pian Cavallaro. The route continues on single-track, initially cyclable but with increasing difficulty, and you continue the climb for the most part by pushing bike. Only in a very short section of about ten meters, almost on the top, there will be to carry the bike on your back, nevertheless the itinary is doable also by e-bike.
When you reach the top of the highest mountain in the Modenese Apennines you descend on the ridge to Cimoncino to continue on its summit along an almost invisible path. From Cimoncino you descend on the ridge trail that is quite intuitively found. The descent is very beautiful and at times challenging. In a couple of places there will be some rocky cliffs to pass on foot. The descent on the ridge trail continues to the beginning of the ascent of Mt. Lagoni. Here, near a very visible trail marker post, take the beautiful trail on the left and descend to Pizzo degli Stecchi amidst blueberries and meadows. The path continues through the woods are to reach the forestry road that climbs from the Taburri refuge and from which the path to Mount Libro Aperto branches off.
Follow the forest road downhill and when you reach the Taburri, take Cai 445, which climbs into the woods and holds it until you reach the Colmbino pass. From Colmbino you begin the beautiful and fast descent not without some technical stretches, first on Cai 427 then on Cai 425 that all bikers in the area know and that unravels near the ridge that descends towards Fanano passing through the Pizzo of the same name. Once 425 ends, take the 411 that leads to Madonna del Ponte, which after a flowing section becomes more technical with fixed stones and rather narrow and sloping hairpin bends, a path that the Fananesi call the Orma del Bue. After crossing the gorge of the Fellicarolo Torrent on the wooden bridge, continue on the trail until returning to Fanano.
